Berba in the Theatre of Dreams

Just like that famous night in Barcelona when we reached the promised land in extra time, United have clinched the Berba deal well beyond the deadline on Sept 1. I don’t know what it is with United and tight finishes. I don’t know who writes the scripts but it’s pretty darn exciting. Last night WE (and I proudly say we despite all the abuse G and R give me for this) pulled off a deal which was effectively the last piece in the brilliant puzzle- United signed Dimitar Berbatov from Tottenham Hotspurs in a four year contract for £ 30.75M. The moody but brilliant bulgarian will now team up with the likes of Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez, Anderson, Nani, Giggs and Scholes and the result in all likelihood will be football from the train factory. There are question marks about his temperament but I have absolutely no doubts that Sir Fergie will set this right and even the rivals will grudgingly admire the quality of play. At the risk of offending a few Arsenal fans, I think we can now challenge Arsenal for playing the best passing football in the country.

I am by no means saying we will win the treble this year but any fan who does not get excited by the likes of Berba/Rooney/Ronny/Tevez playing together has to be to be a cynic! I for one am literally creaming my pants!

Bring on the scousers!!

Glory Glory Man Utd.

Cheers
